BaldwinAdvice Director Nigel Baldwin BSc, CSc is a Chartered (IFST) scientific and regulatory scientist with more than 25 years experience in the planning and execution of global regulatory plans and submissions for new food ingredients. After graduating from the University of Central Lancashire with a BSC (Hons) in Biochemistry and Physiology in 1987, he worked for two years as a microbiology and chemical analyst in the infant nutrition industry followed by six years as a laboratory manager and legislation expert in the household products and cosmetics sector. Following that, he worked as a certification manager for foods and cosmetics certification to Eastern Europe. Since 1996, he has worked as a European regulatory manager for a major international food ingredients company and then as European Director for a highly successful start-up company in the infant formula ingredients sector. From 2004 to 2019 he was European and then Global Senior Director for one of the world’s most successful consulting companies.
Nigel Baldwin has worked on more than 80 food ingredient approvals globally and has advised from start-ups to global players on new product introductions. He is best known for novel food ingredient approvals in the European Union as well as food additives and enzymes. He is also recognised as a global expert in the successful introduction of “cutting edge” new infant formula ingredients.
Nigel Baldwin has authored/co-authored and presented many articles, presentations and scientific publications to international audiences over the years. A list of publications is available upon request.
